Tom (aka Tommy) has over 25 years of experience in landscaping and property maintenance. He was the sole owner of Lawn Cuts 4 Less from 2000-2005.
After selling that business, Tom worked as a project manager for another landscaping company from 2007-2013. At a sit-down lunch with Jim McCausland that year, they knew that they wanted to build a business and make a name for themselves in the landscaping industry.
A Force of Nature Landscaping was founded that same year.
Tom and Jim are childhood friends who grew up in Audubon and were both members of the drum line for the Audubon High School marching band. With so many years of friendship, it only seemed natural to go into business together.
When it comes to landscaping, Tom’s biggest passions are creating one of a kind landscape designs and unique pond features. He is always striving to push the envelope and set himself apart from the rest. His passion and love for his craft are one of the many reasons for A Force of Nature’s many successes.
James (AKA Jim) has been in business with A Force Of Nature Landscaping LLC with Tommy since our sit down lunch in 2012. Jim also worked for Tom when he started his first landscape venture, Lawn Cuts 4 Less, back in 2000.
After sitting down and deciding to start a business together in 2012, we have come a long way from just cutting grass!
Jim became a Police Officer in the early 2000’s and always was involved in construction on the side. Working for a developer and helping with building homes, working for a general contractor and building homes, building additions, bathrooms, kitchens, commercial carpentry work, concrete work, finish carpentry, decks, porches, landscaping, property maintenance to name a few.
When we decided to go into business together, we knew we wanted to be unique and different from every other Landscape Company in our area — from our name, to how we conducted business!
Like Tom mentions in his bio, we have been friends since childhood and have been involved in music since grade school. Becoming business partners was not only an easy decision, but it has also been a blessing to work with someone who compliments me so well.
When it comes to landscaping and landscape design, Jim’s big interests are creating unique ponds and water features, decks and porches, interesting landscaping, plantings, and landscape beds, and anything that has to do with rock, boulders, stones, concrete, pavers, and reclaimed materials!
With the help of Tom, we have been pushing to set A Force Of Nature Landscaping LLC apart from the rest of the companies in our area. I think we may have done that!
